Yesterday I noted:
Unanswered email in iMac inbox: 19 + 27 = 46
Today I note that the second figure has dropped from 27 to 11.
But that's about all I accomplished, with the inclusion of some bills paid and a few overdue pieces of mail prepared for mailing later this week. No writing on the current WIP, but I didn't expect to as I had no real work time to myself.
I don't know why I struggle so much to keep up with email and (the rare) snail mail, or why I get stuck in patterns of procrastination or feeling too overwhelmed to tackle a growing backlog.
What habits do you all use to help you keep on top of it all?
