I have posted "The Disposable Woman" over on SFNovelists, a short rumination on a plot device I particularly dislike.
Meanwhile, I finished going over the copy-edited manuscript of Shadow Gate. Therefore, I took it to Kinkos/FedEx and copied it because, really, although the chances of it going astray are fairly low, between the c-e's corrections and the changes I made to the ms, the chunk of paper is itself actually priceless in terms of how replaceable it is should it get lost in transit.
Then I FedEx'd it to my editor's domicile in Wisconsin.
It was not cheap, either part of this transaction, as the book is, shockingly enough, very long, and all distances from Hawaii are very far.
A friend of mine reminded me to take a moment, at least, to savor it.
Okay.
Now, on to Book Three.
